5.0 out of 5 stars Great book about a seldom written topic, June 18, 2008
By JN322 "32nd" (IL United States)
This book is written exclusively about thai foot massage. A thai foot massage is different from other forms of Thai Massage, and is a bit different than your standard westernized reflexology session. This massage which could take up to 2 hours to perform, is very indepth. It involves stimulating Sen Lines (which are akin to chi meridians), for applications of eastern medicine to bring about health.
This massage begins with an unlubricated foot massage, goes onto massage with cream/oil, and proceeds to the use of a thai massage stick (for stimulation of points), and eventually the use of towel wrappings on the feet, etc. It is a very in-depth book which will help both the professional massage therapist, as well as the average peroson who wants to learn how to do this.
This is a great book for someone who wants to learn this style of massage. The diagrams are very helpful. Instead of a simple "reflexology chart" you get great full-color pictures of the feet and legs with the points illustrated, as well as directions on which type of motions you should be making.
You will be hard pressed to find any other book which discusses and demonstrates thai foot massage in this depth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the Instruction I received in Thailand, January 8, 2009
By Gary Hopkins "Treehugger" (Cincinnati, OH USA)
I have been a healer for over 7 years now and have been doing Thai bodywork for about 5 years. I got into Thai Foot massage in depth over a year ago and in seeking more material on the subject came across this great little book. This has more technique in it than what I learned in Thailand first hand.
This book is easy to read and follow and has great display pictures. Wonderful book and a must for anyone wanting to learn this technique. Mr. Gall has done a excellent job here. If you do any kind of body at all I would suggest that you buy this book. This would be a wonderful addition of technique for any L.M.T. to posess.
4.0 out of 5 stars good book, October 9, 2008
By Terry Villani "trying to get healthy" (Destrehan, LA United States)
I've only gotten to about 50 pages so far and the stuff I have learned is worthwhile. It's not a massage book in the regular sense of the word. It's more of a pressure grip type while leaning into the person. Due to the rocking effect of myself it's not tiring as in what a massage would be. My wife loved the massage, can tell what parts were being worked, such as her hips while doing the "sens line". I was not tired after 20 minutes.
